LWCF Fundraiser for Child Asylum Seekers on the Border

New LWCF Board member Dennise Dalma has created a Facebook Fundraiser to raise donations for child asylum seekers on the border in El Paso, Texas. For those who cannot donate through Facebook or do not have a personal Facebook profile, we have created this donation page. All funds raised through this page will be 100% designated to help children on the border.

More about this fundraiser from Board member Dennise Dalma:

As many of you know, over the past few months I have been volunteering at a border shelter in El Paso, Texas. At this location, families that have been traveling for weeks or months to get to the border arrive dehydrated, hungry and exhausted but determined to look for a better life. When they arrive, they explain how there was no other option for them but to flee their country of origin. Extreme poverty, drought and violence have left many of these families with only one alternative: to break the family in half and try their luck in the US. After ICE processes them, they arrive at the shelter with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. No phones, no money, no shoe laces, nothing. But they do arrive at the shelter with their beautiful children. Children who are incredibly grateful, resilient and whose faces are full of hope for a better life. I know that when they leave the temporary shelter, they will again head to uncertainty as they travel for days to an unknown place. Living Waters Children’s Fund (LWCF), an organization I am proud to be a part of, has organized to give each of the children a book and a stuffed animal for the rest of their journey across the United States. Could you please help the kids by donating to the fund so that they can keep doing this? Every cent of every dollar raised goes directly to the children. Thank you for your support.

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I’m raising money for Living Water Children’s Fund and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. If you have any trouble or need assistance in making a donation, please contact donations@lwcfund.org
