SFA ~ Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
In 2010 Sherry Fine provided a small sum of money to help Juliet Lazar and Alex Migara establish a primary school. Alex thanked Sherry by naming his school after her. Since then LWCCF has provided additional funds to help keep up with the rapid growth of the school. It now has more than 50 students housed in a three room building on a dirt road in one of the poorest sections of Dar Es Salaam. LWCCF funds have provided teaching materials such as paper, pencils, posters, notebooks, and a laptop computer. They have also received curriculum support from LWCCF supporters. The school population includes children with learning disabilities, a young girl who has developmental delays, and a deaf child.
